An ethernet cord allows our computer to connect to the internet much faster than using a regular phone line which is generally a dial up connection. An ethernet cord is required by most computers and routers today in order to connect to the internet. So the next time you need to connect to the internet with your new modem and router, make sure you have an ethernet cord handy.
Ethernet cords aren’t as cheap as regular phone cords. Generally they cost up to 10 times more than regular phone cords because of their quality. You can transfer more data in an out with these thick ethernet cords than most other types of cords today.
Without Ethernet Cables, we would still probably try to conquer the internet with our old phone lines which wouldn’t get us far.
